Tourism
Mini-PhD Programme
First programme starting on October 5th
Our “Global Mini-PhD Programme” aims to enable underrepresented undergraduate and graduate students to grasp research and transferable skills through a short, high-impact research project. The first Tourism Mini-PhD programme is titled: Community-based Living Heritage and Tourism Marketing: Climate-Responsive Approach
The first research project for the Tourism Mini PhD programme will explore how climate-responsive heritage branding can enhance the preservation of community-based living heritage in cultural tourism settings. By examining the impact of climate change on cultural identity and heritage practices, the study aims to develop a sustainable cultural tourism framework that balances conservation with local engagement. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, the project will contribute to providing models and frameworks to strengthen community resilience and foster the authenticity-based tourism experiences. The outcomes will contribute to inclusive, climate-aware cultural tourism policy aligned with international heritage charters.
